since March 2001	Staff Member at the Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Institute of Complex Systems, ICS-3
1999 – 2001	Chemist at the Gela Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Krefeld, Germany
1997 – 1998	I worked with Prof. Dr. J. Springer at the Technical University in Berlin on two different projects: Time-dependent shear-thickening (rheopexy or negative thixotropy) of polymer solutions. Physical chemical analysis of dendrimeric contrast agents to be used in x-ray diagnostics of blood vessels. (project in cooperation with the Schering AG in Berlin)
1995 – 1996	Post-doc position in the group of Prof. Dr. M. Antonietti at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kolloid- und Grenzflächenforschung, Teltow, Germany, where I worked on the rheology and phase behavior of diblock-copolymer solutions.
1990 – 1994	I finished my PhD on the subject “Colloidal dispersions of sterically stabilized boehmite rods – Particle clustering, light scattering, phase separation and sedimentation” at the van’t Hoff laboratory at the University of Utrecht, with Prof. Dr. H.N.W. Lekkerkerker.
